THE LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE is responsible for monitoring legislation affecting Jekyll Island and recommending responses from the JIA Board. It is responsible for liaison with the Governor's Office, the General Assembly, and the Legislative Oversight Committee regarding legislation. |

THE FINANCE COMMITTEE is responsible for oversight of fiscal operations of the JIA. It is responsible for reviewing the annual operating budget preparation, and development of the Authority’s annual capital budget. It recommends financial decisions regarding budgets, contracts, leases and other financial matters to the JIA. The committee is responsible for liaison with tenants and OPB on Authority financial matters. |

THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE is responsible for all Personnel matters that come before the Authority. This includes personnel policies, job descriptions, health benefits, retirement programs, employee grievances, employee recognition and other relevant personnel matters. The Committee recommends appropriate action to the JIA board. |

THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION/CONSERVATION COMMITTEE: The role of the Historic Preservation/Conservation Committee is to identify, protect, and preserve the historic and natural resources of Jekyll Island. The committee will use the Master Plan as its resource document and recommend amendments to the Master Plan where appropriate. The committee will coordinate with the Finance Committee to recommend budget items for board consideration. Guidelines regarding preservation and conservation shall be reviewed by the Committee for approval by the Board. |
